Vintage markets are among my favourite weekend rituals. Portobello Road is always at the top of my list not just for its vibrant chaos, but also for its huge variety. There's everything from mid-century homewares and enamel kitchen tins to vintage vinyl records that still jangle with life. I've lost track of the number of times I've left with "just one gift" and it turned into a bag full of treasures.

I like going to Shoreditch or Islington for a more refined experience.
